The first aircraft served as a basis for all subsequent versions, including the extended version the A321, as well as the shortened versions, the A318 and A319. The first flights took place in 1987, with orders nearing 10,000. The 6,000th aircraft was delivered in 2014, making it the second most sold aircraft in the world, after the Boeing 737.<\/p>\n<p>The A320-200 is the most popular version of the A320. It has winglets and better fuel capacity with an increased range.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commercial Features:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The design for the Airbus A320 followed the 1979 oil crisis and the need for airlines to reduce their fuel consumption. A modern, large-capacity, medium-range aircraft was designed to offer clients the advantage they needed.<\/p>\n<p>This bestselling, single-aisle aircraft can carry 186 passengers over a maximum distance of 5,400 km. Furthermore, it offers a full range of services to airlines, including short-haul intercontinental routes, high-altitude airfield landing, as well as Antarctic ice landing, particularly appreciated by government institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical Features:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Airbus A320 family\u2019s great strength is their shared design. Although the design differs in terms of fuselage length, transport capacity, and range, Airbus can simply adapt the engines and power to the characteristics of the aircraft and to the needs of the client. These aircraft allow airlines greater flexibility in their production and use. Furthermore, unique assembly lines result in greater rates of production.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the Airbus A320s have evolved and become more modern. Today, the new Neo A320 models are on the market.
