In 2018, the “World Travel Awards” presented the prize for best destination in the world to Portugal.<\/p>\n
A development strategy initiated more than 10 years ago has, in fact, enabled this country to become one of the world “must-see destinations”.<\/p>\n
Surfers, golfers, hikers, individual tourists and business travellers flock to Portugal every year to discover its Atlantic coast, its vineyards and olive trees, its listed monuments and their vernacular architecture, its mountains, its pine forest, its forests and its waterfalls.<\/p>\n
To picture this, just look at the traffic figures at Oporto airport : about 2,500,000 passengers in 2002,
\nand a little less than 12,000,000 passengers in 2018 !
\nIn fact, it is towards this destination that we recently conducted an operation!<\/p>\n
A 3-hour flight away from the largest French cities, Porto is a starting point to discover the 800 km of
\noceanic coastline, the Serra da Estrela, this exceptional natural park stretching over more than a
\nthousand hectares !This region really shines thanks to the hospitality of its inhabitants, its gastronomy, its lively nightlife, which we have always found in the heart of the Cidade Invicta, the unbeaten city.<\/p>\n
Its medieval historic centre, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, the Rio Douro that crosses it, the vertiginous bridge that is the Dom-Luis, the Ga\u00efa cable car, the magnificent S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o theatre, the Pal\u00e1cio da Bolsa or the extraordinary S\u00e3o Bento train station will all contribute to enchanting you with their magnificence and finesse. All this makes for an ideal break to unwind and relax.<\/p>\n
If all this is not enough to inspire you, follow the steps of JK Rowling to the unmissable Lello&Irmao bookshop set in a neo-gothic building inaugurated in 1906, which was an inalterable inspiration to imagine then write Harry Potter!<\/p>\n
