Description

Overview:

The Beechcraft 1900 Beechliner is a 19-seat regional turboprop aircraft. It is also used for cargo transport or business trips by several government and military organizations. This aircraft is designed to carry passengers in all weather conditions, from airports with small runways. The Beechcraft 1900 is one of the most popular among 19-seater aircraft.

Commercial Features:

There are three versions of the Beechcraft 1900: Type C, D or King Air ExecLiner for civilian versions. There is also a military version C-12J. The initial version A was only produced three times, only one of which is still in service within the Escuadrón de Ejecutivos 310 Boliviano.

With over 450 units manufactured by Raytheon Aircraft, the 1900D was marketed in 1991, following a new design of the Beechcraft 1900 C. With the Beechcraft 1900 and 1900C have cabins so small that passengers could not stand, the Beechcraft 1900D was designed to change this. With an extended fuselage, allowing the passengers to stand up, the Beechliner is also related to the Beech King Air. Production stopped in October 2002. It has two doors for boarding, with one on the front and one in the rear.

It soon became apparent that having two doors on a 19-seat aircraft was excessive. By creating the Beechcraft 1900C, the manufacturer retained the front door, but eliminated the rear door, thus allowing the installation of an enlarged cargo door in its place. Apart from the redesigned door layout, the first 1900Cs were very similar to the original Beechcraft 1900s. Production stopped in October 2002.

Technical Features:

The Beechcraft 1900C series uses the “wet wing” system: this system allows the wing structure of the aircraft to be sealed for use as fuel tanks. This change in design has allowed more fuel to be stored, and to be lighter, considerably increasing the range of the Beechcraft 1900C.

Raytheon manufactured six 1900C aircraft for use by the United States Army. These were assigned serial numbers “UD”, UD-1 through UD-6. The Beechcraft 1900 has a length of 17.60 meters, a wingspan of 17,70 meters and a height of 4.50 meters.
